NEC: Ideally suited for diagnostic imaging in medical technology

21.3-inch TFT LCD module with luminance of 900 cd/m2, UXGA resolution and a contrast ratio of 1100:1
Milton Keynes (UK) - NEC LCD Technologies’ 21.3-inch color LCD module, part number NL160120AC27-22B, which is ideally suited for use in medical applications, immediately broadens the product portfolio of Gleichmann Sunrise.

The display with ultra-extended graphics array (UXGA) enables a resolution of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels. The combination of proprietary ultra-advanced, super-fine TFT (UA-SFT) technology and a high-intensity direct backlight system thereby achieves a high luminance of 900 cd/m2. With regard to brightness, this guarantees a wide dynamic range that very precisely reproduces the grayscale images.

Additionally, a further improvement in panel and backlight design compared to previous models prevents the influences from any scattered light. The result is an approximately 20% improvement of contrast ratio of 1100:1.

Moreover, by reducing color shifts, the UA-SFT technology of the NL160120AC27-22B enables ultra-wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 178 degrees.

In addition to the new 21.3-inch LCD module, Gleichmann Sunrise also offers a new 20.1-inch monochrome LCD module, part number NL256204AM15-03A, with quad super-extended graphic array (QSXGA) resolution for digital mammography image interpretation.
